Creating digital art and layouts (LOs) is my favorite pastime. I tell my co-workers that I'm addicted to Adobe Photoshop...and I honestly think that is the truth! Here are my favorite LOs from the month of August.
We're All A Little Mad:
I'm a follower of Psdtuts+. And I'll be darned if I can remember what piece of work sparked this...however, point be made--I often get inspiration from that site. This was created with Marta van Eck's Welcome in Wonderland (available at the Shabby Pickle).
My Little Druggie:
My Little Druggie was created with Finecrafted Design's Good for What Ails You (available at Deviant Scrap).
Garfield Quote:
I often find quotes to be a source of inspiration! This one came from James A. Garfield and I read it out of In the Words of the Presidents by Ian Crofton. The quote reads, "I have seen the sea lashed into fury and tossed into spray, and its grandeur moves the soul of the dullest man; but I remember that it is not the billows, but the calm level of the sea, from which all heights and depths are measured." This was created with Tangie Baxter's Tempest Tossed and Studio Gypsy's Mercurial Trench (both available at Scrapbookgraphics).
Envy:
There is a challenge over at Deviant Scrap--The Seven Deadly Sins. This was created for that challenge; however, the inspiration came from two sources. First, inspiration was pulled from The Divine Comedy of Dante Alighieri. Second, Barbara Moustafa provided a bit of a tutorial on how to pick up patterns using the brush tool in Photoshop. This was found in Somerset Digital Studio Spring (2010). Credits for this creation: everything greatly altered, mind you...a background from Nevermore by Sherrie JD; a notebook from So Noted by Holliewood Studios; the lady from Lisa's Altered Art; overlays--Newspaper overlay by Mira Designs, Steampunk overlay by Erica Belton, Killer Filler by Ashalee Wall; and stitches brush by Obsidian Dawn (stitches on Lady's eyes).
